Building Fascia Signage
The building fascia is the ideal area to display your main company brand. If we are installing flat signage to your building, we will most commonly be using ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel) otherwise known as ACM (Aluminium Composite Material), or less frequently, Signwhite Steel.
ACP has many advantages. It is an extremely cost effective material, whilst still being very hard wearing and long lasting. When this is coupled up with our 3M vinyl, 3M overlaminate, and HP Latex based environmentally friendly inks, this is the perfect solution for budget conscious clients who demand a high quality representation of their brand. Additional to the above, if your signage is in a location where it is accessible and possibly subject to vandalism, we can laminate the prints with an anti-graffiti and anti-gouge 3M specialist overlaminate.
The extreme UV conditions that existing in Perth and the rest of Western Australia mean that you need to select a signage company that knows what they are doing, and will back their product with warranties to protect your investment for many years to come.
FAQs Building Fascia Signage
What metal board is most suitable to use?
This does depend on the application in question. For example, if it is a curved building frontage, and the sign needs to follow the curve of the building, then we would probably use 0.6mm Signwhite Steel, or Colourbond. This is a strong material that is suitable in certain situations.
More commonly used than Signwhite Steel now is Aluminium Composite Material (ACM). It is also known by a number of other names including: Dibond, Alucobond, Signbond, Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP), etc. ACP has several advantages over Signwhite Steel, especially for installation on to flat walls.
- It will not rust, as it is constructed from an inner core of hard plastic, with an outer skin on both sides of aluminium.
- It is very strong. So much so, that it can be self-supporting without the need to build supporting frame work in certain situations.
- It is light-weight for its size.
- It has some depth / bulk (normally 3mm thick).
- Extremely long lasting.
- Sheets fit nice and flat to walls.
- Oversize sheets are available for certain jobs that need the signage to be in one piece.
