When our client AFGRI contacted us about helping them relocate their head office, the team at Signarama Joondalup were excited to assist with their building signage requirements.
Back in 2016 we worked alongside the AFGRI brand, fabricating five sets of three-dimensional signs that were shipped to various branches throughout the Mid-West Region of Western Australia. One of the previously manufactured signs needed to be moved to the new head office premises, and our Installation team used their knowledge of when the signage was initially installed, to relocate the signs without damaging them.
The Exterior Solution: In addition to relocating the fabricated building fascia signs to the external fascia of the new building, Signarama Joondalup designed, produced and installed window graphics, wayfinding, safety and branded cladding to the exterior walls. Prior to production, extensive test prints were done for the branded cladding, manufactured from Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP). This ensured the colours suited not only the building but the brand as well. When planning this project, our team identified where signage may need to be updated down the line and thus have installed the signage package to allow for future changes.
Additionally, our team identified that the ACP signs had to fit over existing framework, so templates were created for each panel to ensure that they all sat at the same finish height once installed. When designing the artwork for these signs, images were scaled and split over several panels. To most people this would sound easy enough, but due to the space between the panels our designers needed to maintain the correct perspective and continuity, so onlookers would see the overall image and not just each singular panel. The same method applied for the oneway graphics that were installed on the external windows. Our design team looked at each hero image and thought of how the window mullions would / could affect the overall concept. The end result is a well-balanced signage solution for the exterior, with each sign manufactured to the highest standard adhering to branding consistency and casting a positive light on AFGRI as a company.
The Internal Solution: Branding presence was as critical internally as it was externally, therefore all the produced graphics used the same printer for colour profile consistency. Indoor signage included full coverage wall graphics from high-resolution images, printed on matte finished vinyl to reduce light hotspots or glare. The selected images were used to complement the client’s internal merchandising displays. Also, when choosing the images, the layout of walkways and doors were considered, to make sure no critical details were lost in the voids. 3D acrylic lettering was added to several glass doors for a high-end look, and to ensure colour consistency, each component of the door sign was two-pack painted to brand specific PMS colours. Several corporate branded stand-off panels were manufactured out of acrylic, with printed vinyl graphics applied to the front and rear surfaces. Meeting room sliders were branded and accompanied by clear acrylic panels, with printed graphics to the rear. Once again, to strengthen the branding story, the images used reflected important landmarks for the client.
Additional Supportive Signage: Throughout our business relationship with AFGRI, we have also branded several of their fleet vehicles with three quarter commercial wraps. Graphics were printed on 3M wrap vinyl and designed using high quality hero images, to reflect the customer’s core business. When designing the graphics, our team considered the curves of the vehicle and where best to place all the elements for a cohesive design. Installation was also completed by the Signarama team. Our vehicle wrap installers are trained professionals, who hold accreditation to the 3M platinum select installer program; ensuring the highest quality and after sales warranty available.
This project is a prime example of how signage can be used to activate spaces and sell products through placement imagery; this factor alone can increase the return on investment spent on the signage. By trusting Signarama Joondalup with their overall requirements, we were able to deliver a consistent message that supports AFGRI’s prime target market. New and existing clientele can easily identify what AFGRI does, and who they are. On completion of the project, we received this feedback from the client. “Extremely happy with the service we received from Craig and his team. Very speedy, always friendly service and good pricing. Would definitely recommend!!”
We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of this job, and we are delighted that AFGRI continue to return to us time and time again for their signage needs.
